Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA) Global Sourcing announced that it will implement supply chain solution provider TradeBeyond's software platform to enhance and standardize operations across WBA's retail brands. This move aims to implement innovative and agile sourcing practices.
The TradeBeyond platform will manage various processes within WBA's Global Sourcing function, streamlining sourcing and order management follow-ups. By replacing multiple legacy systems, the platform will create digital efficiencies, unify processes, and ensure data transparency and integrity.
“We are excited about the benefits of our Global Sourcing transformation, which will support the growth of WBA-owned brands globally,” said Adam Swallow, Vice President of Global Sourcing and Quality at WBA. “TradeBeyond will help us achieve improved supply chain transparency, increased speed to market, a unified process for our operations, and enhanced collaboration with our supplier partners.”
“As global supply chain disruptions and the need for transparency become everyday news, businesses are investing in supply chain digitalization,” added TradeBeyond CEO Michael Hung. “Our partnership with WBA and many of the world's largest retailers demonstrates the trust in TradeBeyond as the multi-enterprise platform of choice for fostering a more agile, resilient retail supply chain.”
The implementation of TradeBeyond's platform has already begun and is scheduled to be fully operational by Fall 2024.
